DESERT TRAINING CENTER
CALIFORNIA

April 1, 1943
Thursday 8:00 PM

Dear Friends of Bryant:

Well it’s another very quiet and lonesome evening here on the desert. I am located away out here on the California desert. It certainly makes a fellow feel grand to here from old friends. I wish to thank my friends at Bryant who are making the Bryant Service Club a success. Your gifts and letters play a big part in keeping the morale of former Bryant students at a high level. I am going through a period of desert training out here and it is really rough. We are all located sixty fine miles from the nearest town. There is no entertainment to speak of out here and the heat is terrific. The temperature has reached 115° several times already. I am receiving letters from many of my former classmates and they are all well and happy. In closing I wish to express my thanks once more and wish the Bryant Service Club continued success.

Sincerely,
Cpl Frank Addario [Transcription ends]
