November 20th

Dear Members of the Bryant Service Club,

I was very pleased to receive your box of candy. Mail and packages from home do a wonder for the morale of soldiers- as you have probably ready many times in the newspaper.

You have my correct address. As you probably guessed from my address I am on maneuvers in Tennessee. They will soon be over, however, and I will not be sorry to return to garrison again. Garrison means a comfortable bed and hot showers – two things we miss in the field. Where we go from here is still in the rumor stage, but we should know soon.

I and the members of Headquarters Detachment who shared the box join in saying thank you. It is nice to be remembered from home.

Sincerely,
George Aguiar
