Dear Bryant Service Club,

I received your thoughtful gift a few days ago but I was unable to write and thank you until now. It’s swell to know someone is thinking of you when you’re far from home.

I haven’t met any former Bryant students since I left Miami Beach. Chic Welgus and Bob Bernstein were in the same squadron as I while we were down there. In fact Bob was my roommate until he shipped out.

Well I think I’ll sign off now and hope that the war will be over before another Christmas rolls around. Thanks again for the candy and hope that all of you have a very enjoyable Christmas.
