UNITED STATES COAST GUARD

19 December, 1944.

Bryant Service Club;

I received your letter and very nice gift last week and was very glad to hear from "Good Old Bryant College." Back in the early part of 1942, when the Bryant Service Club started to organize, little did the class of '42 think that most of them would be a recipricant of a gift from the Bryant Service Club, because the war looked so far away then, but after graduating in August of that year we found out differently.

Your letter was most appreciated because it enabled me to imagine what has been happening the last two years on the Campus of the College.

In closing I want to thank the Service Club for the gift and letter, and wish to extend to each and every one of the Club a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR.

A MEMBER OF THE GREAT CLASS OF '42.
