22 Dec. 1944
Bryant Service Club
Providence, R.I.

Dear Members,

Hello there. I received your Christmas package and letter and was happy to have heard from you.

I am lucky to be back in the States this year for Christmas and only wish that it were possible for all the boys to be home.

All the Bryant graduates I know are happy to hear from your organization. Keep writing to the boys overseas as a letter, card, newspaper, etc., is all that a fellow over there has to look forward to. A boy over there is happy if he knows that the folks at home have taken a few minutes to drop him a line. He knows that he is not forgotten.

Keep up the good work your organization is doing. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.

Sincerely,
Richard E. Cardoze
1st Lt., Inf.

Hello,

Received your box of candy and was quite happy and pleased to hear from you. You will note the change of address and new location.

There is not much one can say due to the censorship regulations but I am enjoying myself and find England quite pleasant.

Thank you again for the package.

Hello,

Your letter and tabulation showing the address of Bryant graduates was received. It was interesting to note the location of other Bryant graduates in the service.

Chairman of the Bryant Service Club
Bryant College
Providence, Rhode Island

Hello Friends,

It sure was a pleasant surprise to receive the package that you sent. The boys here helped me get the fullest enjoyment out of the consumption of the contents.

Your service club seems to be quite active and I know that most of the boys in the service feel the same way as I did when I received your package. One of the soldier’s few pleasures on the post is in receiving mail or packages and when something unexpected arrives he is all the more appreciative.

Best of luck to your club,
