Dear Friends,

I just received your swell Christmas package yesterday, and I want to take time out and thank you for it. It was certainly very nice, and I appreciate it very much.

Well, things are just about the same with me as when I last wrote to you. Of course that was around a year ago, but believe me things are still just about the same. I am now Post Sergeant Major of Camp Amirabad, which is located just outside of Teheran, which as you know, is the capital of Iran. We are really kept pretty busy, but I would rather have it that way, as the time seems to go by quite a bit faster when you are working hard all the time.

It has been some time since I have heard any news of Bryant, but from what I understand, there aren’t many of the group left that were there when I was in attendance. By that I of course mean the instructors. I guess things have changed everywhere. It has been over two years since I last was back in the States, and I will probably not recognize the place when I finally do get home.

I suppose they still keep you pretty busy in the classrooms. That was one place that made me study to get through. If any of the old group of instructors are still around I would appreciate it if you would give my regards to them.

Well, I must close for now, as it is about time for me to be heading back to the barracks, and to bed. I want to thank you again for remembering me with the gift. I also want to extend the thanks of my barracks mates who helped me eat the contents.

Sincerely

Robert T. Clark
