Dear Club Members

Just a short line to let you know how pleased I was to receive your newsy letter and tasty candy. After 26 months out of the States, I'm enjoying a well earned rest here in No. Car.--Just between us, it's not far enough South! I expect to be here 6 months to a year before shipping out again.

Thank you again for your devotion and like all optomists [sic], let us hope we will all be back in the States for the '45 Yuletide Season!
