Dear Sir,

I know you are interested in news from Alumni, so I would like to inform you, for the Alumni Bulletin that I have been engaged to Miss Alice J. Bryant, of 76 Depot Street, East Wareham Massachusetts. (Bryant again- I guess I can’t get away from that name) The engagement was announced by her mother Mrs. Walter L. Bryant. She is a graduate of Allegheny College, Meadville, Pa. and is an English teacher at Farmington High School Farmington, Conn. where I taught school before going into the Coast Guard.

Is the Alumni Bulletin still being published? I haven’t received on [sic] in about a year. I would appreciate receiving them addressed to the address on the envelope.

Thank you very much
C. Dickenman

Dear Club Members:

Just a line or two to express my appreciation and acknowledgement for the Christmas gift which I received several days ago. If all Bryant grads appreciated the gift as I did, you[r] work is not in vain, as you're doing a swell job.

To all those who still remember me, I send my best regards, and hope this conflict ends soon, so that we may all enjoy one of those Alumni and Graduation Proms at the Biltmore.

Thanks again,

Dear Sir:

I was pleasantly reminded by Kenneth Hazzard, U. S. C. G. that he, upon a recent visit to the college, was informed that I did not acknowledge receipt of cigarettes that I received as a Christmas gift.

Since Christmas, with the exception of 6 weeks in Maryland, I have been in a different place each week. For this reason it slipped my mind. The letter sent to my father was also given to me, but that too was neglected.

I am taking this opportunity to thank the B. S. C. for that particular gift as it was very much appreciated. Your club is doing a fine job for the Bryant Servicemen.

Thanks again
C. Dickenman
[Transcription ends]
