Thursday
May 4, 44

Hello "Gang,"

Just a few lines to let you know that I received the swell package you sent to me at Easter. Those cookies and candies really hit the spot. You can probably guess how long they lasted in a barracks full of hungry wolves, just about five minutes.

Maybe some of you know Janet Lewis--well I'll be seeing her over this week end. She's in the waves now you know and she's due to be on leave this week. She was attending Bryant the same time I was.

The first chance I get I'm going to drop in at good old Bryant, and see what it looks like again. I hope it will be soon.

Thanks again for your thoughtfulness.

Sincerely
Wally Ferrier
[Transcription ends]
