Dear Service Club

I wish to thank you for your V mail letter I received today and I sure did enjoy reading it. It sure is swell to read about your old classmates and what they are doing. I am sorry to read about the bad news of those in my class who have paid heavily but you also bring good news and that makes me feel better. Mail here is as precious as gold as we are in the jungle and are near no town so we work seven days a week here and it sure does get tiresome. I did not receive your package as yet but then I am receiving Xmas packages so I guess it will get here eventually. How is my old frat doing ΣΦΝ. I am sorry to hear that Mr. Ripley has resigned as he sure was a great friend of mine and helped us all at Bryant. Well I must close now and get some shut eye. Write soon and let me know how things are going. By the way have you Earl Trerns present address.

C. Lindquist
