Captain’s Office
Receiving Station
495 Summer St.
Boston, Mass.
Sept. 15, 1945

The Registrar
Bryant College
Providence, R.I.

Dear Sir:

While a little tardy in writing in appreciation of your Christmas gift last year along with periodical editions of the school paper, I want to thank you for your kindness.

Much has happened since I left Bryant in the spring of 1942. I was in the Pacific for two years but am now safely home and ready to resume college. For the present I am stationed here in Boston and in all probability will remain in this billet until I am discharged. Therefore, as much as I would like to resume my education at Bryant, I am compelled to seek schooling in Boston. I would appreciate it very much if you would send a transcript of my marks to Boston College, 126 Newbury St., Boston 16, Mass. as I commence the semester on Monday, Sept. 17th. with a combined liberal arts and business administration course. They are more than willing to accept my credits from Bryant in English and Elementary Accounting toward a degree.

Thanking you in advance for your cooperation and hoping to see you all once again soon, I remain,

Respectfully yours,
Raymond John McCormick
RAYMOND JOHN McCORMICK,
Yeoman 2nd Class,
U. S. Naval Reserve.
