Italy--but not "Sunny Italy"-just muddy & wet.

Your V letter of Nov 9 beat Christmas by a few weeks--and was very welcome. It took 18 days to arrive. And, considering the speed with which this fighter outfit of ours has been moving around trying to keep up with and give air support to the Eighth Army, your letter beat many others from home.

Things go well--are all happy--Christmas packages are arriving already--remember last year we received ours in the desert in April.

Thanks for all the news--your little bulletin keeps me well up to date.

Regards to all,
