U.S. NAVAL MAGAZINE
FORT LAFAYETTE, NEW YORK HARBOR.

5 December 1944

Gentlemen:

Many, many thanks for your thoughtful gift to me for the Christmas Holiday. I assure you all my shipmates here at Fort Lafayette enjoyed the present as much as I did. It was opened before 25 December, but the thought of receiving it will last long after that memorable day has passed.

I wish to announce that I am the proud father of a 7 lb. 41/2 oz. boy, born at the U.S. naval hospital, Brooklyn, New York, 19 November 1944. Mother and Son, who will be named Charles Almy Munroe II, are doing fine and will return to Providence, R.I., soon. I would appreciate it if this information could be passed on to any of my classmates of February 1938.

Hearty Christmas Greetings to all of the Bryant Service Club and especially to the Faculty of Bryant College.
