I wish to express my sincere thanks for the box of goodies sent me. It was swell and I enjoyed it very much.

Considering everything I am having a pretty good time down here in Florida. There is nothing any other place like the beaches down here with the outdoor saltwater swimming pools and all the fixings. I am making the best of it while I can.

Everything is fine with me and I wish each and everyone of you the best of luck.

Dear Members of the Bryant Service Club,

I wish to thank all of you for the gift if candy. It was swell and I appreciate it.

I can’t write an interesting letter on my work because army censorship prohibits me from even mentioning it. What I do must remain secret until this country wins the war and we all want to get it over with as quickly as possible.

The weather down here has been fine. I’ve got a pretty good coat of tan.
