Bryant Service Club:

Thank you so much for the delicious box of candy which I received from you. It was certainly a nice idea, and the candy was enjoyed by my friends as well as myself. It’s nice to be remembered by you, and I’m sure our boys on the fighting front and elsewhere feel the same.

Haven’t received an Alumni bulletin in ages? Are they still being published—if so, I’d like to get some. Please note my new billed[?] number in case the Bulletins are sent to me.

Thanks again—and a Happy New Year to you all.

Sincerely,
M. B. Leighton, Bryant ‘38
[Transcription ends]

Washington, D.C.
23 April 1944

Dear Bryant Service Club,

I’m afraid my “thank you” is a bit delayed, but it is given with so much fervor as if it had been more recent for the lovely box of “goodies” which I received from you at Eastertime.

Your package arrived while I was on leave, so I did not receive it until my return. My leave actually was my honeymoon as I was married on April 10 at the Navy Chapel here, and I certainly wish some of my Bryant friends could have been present.

So I know you will forgive me for the delay, and I and my bunkmates certainly enjoyed devouring the nice things to eat.

It is a pleasant feeling to be remembered by our Alma Mater, and I hope the time is not too distant when we can plan for a post-war reunion.

Again, thanks a million--I enjoy the service letters you send out also.

Please note the various changes in my address.

Very sincerely,
Myrtle (Leighton) Robidoux
[Transcription ends]
