8 January 1944

Bryant Service Club
Bryant College
Providence, R. I.

Gentlemen:

Please accept my belated thanks for your thoughtful Christmas remembrance. During the past six weeks, I have been moving around quite a bit and, as a result, have fallen far behind in correspondence.

At the present, I am an airplane commander of a B-29 taking phase training at the base. The only former Bryant student I have seen is Lt. Eddie White, '39, whom I met in Smyrna, Tennessee where I was an instructor in B-24's.

Your tasty gift is certainly well appreciated.

Sincerely,
Lt. Bob Sherman,'38
411th Sqdn. 502nd Bomb Group
Grand Island, Nebraska
[Transcription ends]
