Mr. Chairman,

Just a line to let you know I received your box of candy. It sure was swell of you to remember me. It sure makes a fellow feel good to know the people at home still remember him. I want to thank everyone who make it possible to send us these packages.

Mr. Chairman,

I wish to thank the Bryant Service Club for their generous gift they sent me at Christmas. I wrote a letter thanking you as soon as I received them. Apparently my letter was lost because I received a letter from my folks saying you had not heard from me. I’m sorry because I answered as soon as I received them which was about 4 days before Christmas. It sure was swell of you to remember me. Thanks very much.
