Gentlemen:

I just want to write a note to say “thank you” for the lovely and delicious box of candy that was sent me by the Bryant College Service Club. It arrived in excellent condition and was most welcome.

Also I enjoy receiving from time to time the bulletin of current activities at Bryant. It makes one feel she is really not away at all.

Again, thank you for the Christmas gift and this comes too from my many Wave friends who shared my gift. The Service Club sure is doing a wonderful job.

Very truly yours,

Attention: Bryant Service Club

Gentlemen:

I’m a little late in getting around to saying thank you for the Easter box of candy that you sent me. You see I have been on leave for two weeks, and as you can well imagine, every service person takes advantage of those 14 days out of the year.

However, I do want you to know that the candy was much appreciated and enjoyed, and it gives one a nice feeling to know she is being remembered by her college.

Sincerely,

Dorothy L. Vaill Y 2/C U.S.N.R.
