For your information, I am now attending the Officer Candidate School at Carlisle Barracks, Pa. and expect to receive my commission in the Medical Administrative Corps very shortly.

Bryant Service Club
Bryant College
Providence, Rhode Island

Gentlemen:

Thanks loads for the surprise package of candy which you recently sent to me. I certainly appreciate your thoughtfulness. I have met several Bryant men who have also recently entered the Army and invariably one of the first questions they ask is, “Have you received a package from the Bryant Service Club?” This, in turn, leads the discussion to the good old days when we used to roam around the campus without a worry in the world. We realize now, more than ever, the value of our college days and how much we miss all our friends and the good times we had together.

I hope you will continue to keep up this fine gesture to your boys in the service.

Sincerely,
