Hi fellows:
Word has been received from home that acknowledgment was not received by you of the package mailed me in July.
A furlough was given me at the end of August, at which time I had the pleasure of thanking Mr. Ripley, in lieu of the Service Club, for your kind gift. Evidently the press of business made the notation of the thanks impossible at that time.
