Camp Shelby, Miss. Jan 6 1944
Dear Miss Blaney; and members of the Service Club,
I want to thank you for the letter and package which I received.
On Tuesday the 21st I was told that I could have a furlough. I left Camp Shelby, Wednesday night and arrived home 2:15 Saturday morning. It sure was nice spending Christmas at home.
I had a cold and spend most of my time home resting.
Thanking you all very much.
