To The Bryant Service Club:
I received your package today for which I want to thank you. It’s really lovely, but the feeling behind it means more than anything else. Just to know that your [sic] still remembered, is something that even money can’t buy.
Today, I received a letter from one of the Bryant students and was sorry to hear that the naval reserves are now being called for active duty. I had hoped that the navy reserves would remain at school.
Thanks again for the package and let’s hope that this war is over with soon.
I am now in ward 20
