Abstract
Through his talk, Chris Skerritt showcases his belief in the potential of every individual to achieve a fulfilling career, regardless of their challenges. Skerritt will inspire viewers in the value of not just increasing the number of individuals with a disability employed, but to foster a culture where diversity, inclusivity, and opportunity are ingrained values in the world of work. Christopher Skerritt, M.Ed, CRC, LRC, FVE, IPEC, CVE, ABVE/F, REAS, CEAS I, CLCP, MSCC, CPRW, QRC, possesses a profound aspiration to enhance the understanding and implementation of supported employment, focusing on increasing employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. His extensive experience, highlighted by his tenure at Kincaid Wolstein Vocational and Rehabilitation Services and other prestigious institutions, underscores his commitment to this mission. Central to Christopher's aspiration is the belief in the transformative power of employment for individuals with disabilities. He advocates for a more inclusive and adaptive workforce, where barriers are diminished, and potential is recognized and nurtured. Through his efforts in job placement services, case management, and worksite accommodation assessment, he aims to create environments where individuals with disabilities can thrive and contribute meaningfully.
