Abstract

Each year the Bryant University senior class raises money to secure a class gift to the university. President Machtley challenged the Class of 2009 Senior Class Gift Committee by saying that he would jump in the campus pond if 50% of the senior class contributed to the class gift. Well, the Class of 2009 met the president's challenge of 50% participation and so the president celebrated by happily jumping into the pond on May 13, 2009.
