Dear Service Club.
I wish to thank you for the swell box of candy I received from you today and I want you to know that I really appreciate it. The candy arrived in swell condition and was just as if it had come from a store a few days ago. They are really keeping us busy over here and it seems that we are on the go all the time. I am hoping that this is the year that see’s me home in good old uncle sugar as my two years of overseas will be up and I will be sweating out rotation. I sure will make it a point to come up to the old place and see my friends. I guess many of my old instructors are in the service now but we sure will have a wild reunion when this mess is over. Well nothing new here so I will close but thanks again for your gift.
