The Coming Age of Virtual Teaming: Guidelines for Managers

With fast-to-market pressures and corporate partnerships, teaming has taken an added dimension. Virtual teaming, via the Internet, is sometimes the only way people can work together not only across oceans but also across the deeper divides of corporate boundaries and cultures. The aim of this paper is to discuss the evolution of the virtual teaming and addresses the capabilities of this new management tool. Guidelines to improve the chances of success, and some of the products generating the most interest will be examined.
