Private Clinton A. Place was a member of the Bryant College Class of 1943. He enlisted in the Army on September 16, 1943 and was later reported missing in action in Italy in late Spring,1944. His daughter, Marilyn, was born while he was overseas.

Clinton A. Place was killed in action at Anzio while serving his country during World War II.
