Dear Members,

I wish to thank you sincerely for the nice box of candy you sent me at Christmas. I imagine you must find it hard to be interested in former Bryant students that you don’t know but I assure your efforts to remember the boys are deeply appreciated.

I graduated from Bryant in August 1943 and came to the Navy a month later. I visited Bryant again last December (1943). It was nice to see some of my old friends again.

However they have graduated now so I guess there aren’t any students at Bryant that I know anymore.

We spent some time in Hawaii before coming to the South Pacific. Most of my liberties there were spent in Honolulu or at the beach at Waikiki. It is a nice place but a serviceman doesn’t have much opportunity to enjoy it.

In this part of the South Pacific things are quiet and rather monotonous. The weather is hot everyday but cool at night. It rains almost every day.

I’ll take this opportunity to say hello to Mr. Jacobs and Mr. Richards. Also to John and Mac- I wish I was back sweeping the floors for you.

That’s about all for now. Thanks again for the candy.

Sincerely yours,
Bob Raynor
