Dear Service Club Members:
Was delightfully surprised to receive your Christmas package the other day. Thanks loads and it is sure nice to know that one still has so many fine and true friends even though he is thousands of miles away.
The package has arrived just on time for tomorrow we will have many English children on the base and I'm sure that both you and they will be pleased with the candy.
I hope my fellow graduates have been as lucky as I have in receiving your gift. Again I want to thank you and want you to know that there is still a spot in my heart for dear old Bryant.
Here's wishing you all a belated Merry Xmas & Happy New Year.
Sincerely, 'Joe'
