Dear Chairman,
I received your ever welcome gift of chocolates after they had traveled all over the south for I have had a change of station and am now with Battery G, 246th C.A., Ft. Story, Va.
Two weeks ago today I had the pleasure of being at Bryant to see most of the “profs” I had and am pleased to say they look the same. So does the school and the students seem to be the same as when I was sweating my way through.
Since I last wrote to you I have also changed my rank in this man’s army. I graduated from Officer’s Candidate School on July 3 and am now a 2nd Lt.
Sincerely,
Walter V. Crawley [Transcription ends]
