BARNEY L. ALLIS
PRESIDENT (Written at)
Wichita, Kansas

Bryant College Service Club
Providence, R.I.

Gentlemen:

I sincerely regret not having written to thank you for the packages sent to me by your Service Club. It was very careless but not intentional.

Such thoughtfulness on the part of folks back home brings much cheer and happiness to men in the service. While your package came to me, fellow officers living with me shared the benefits and helped me empty them.

At present I am Supply Officer with the 85th College Training Detachment (Aircrew) at the University of Wichita, Kansas and like it very much. I must add that my training at Bryant did much to enable me to get into the service from civilian life as an officer. And it has helped me immeasurably since I joined the Air Force.

Again, many thanks for your thoughtfulness.

Yours truly
Lt. John L. Doran [Transcription ends]
