Darling,—
Just a short note honey, to tell you that I love you.
I had a terrible time tonight, it was a good picture I guess, what I saw of it.
The WAC was very pretty, I guess, but she didn’t smile like you, she didn’t call me “honey,” she had brown eyes, and I’m not going to marry her.
I feel awful, I’ve got a hangover on top of a hangover, I can’t even write. There was a mob on the train, we drank all the way to Beacon, my God what a trip.
Taps is going to blow in about a minute angel, so it’s good night my darling, for now. I’ll write tomorrow. I love you with all my heart, “Body & Soul.” Sleep tight my darling, I think of you always.
As ever—
Judd
P. S.—I love you.
