Camp Custer, Mich.
October 10, 1942
Dear Sir,
Hello, Bryant, from Michigan.
Your most useful gift of cigarettes had quite a journey before reaching me at Camp Custer where I am stationed as a 2nd Lt. Infantry.
I was assigned to the 94th Division, a newly activated unit of the Army and I can assure you that all the men here really anxious to get going, finish off this business, and then get home to our friends and families.
Again thanks loads and hope to hear from you again.
Keep up the good work,
Duck
