ARMY FINANCE SCHOOL
WAKE FOREST COLLEGE
Wake Forest, N. C.

June 13, 1943

Dear Bryant Service Club,

I wish to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the lovely social treat you sent me. You can’t imagine how much it means to a soldier to hear from home and know that his friends are 100% behind him. I really hope that the service club will continue its good work of helping keep the boys happy.

Wake Forest is the hardest institution I ever expected to land at. We really don’t have a minute to ourselves accept [sic] Sunday. Our work here consists mainly of paying the Army boys every thirty days + on time. I have been studying pay of enlisted men, pay of officers, travel pay, pay of civil service employees and the accounting course is yet to come. I am assigned to the air corps + consequently I’ll be sent back to our air base after my course here.

Yours truly
Cpl. Tommy Dunn
