Dear Mr. Jacobs,
Feeling fine and hope you, your dad, and the entire staff are likewise. Now on another new assignment. This time with the Finance Division of Allied Military Govt. Located in the office of the Chief Accountant, and boy I’m doing accounting to the extent that I see figures in my sleep. Incidentally I’m in a beautiful city somewhere in Sicily, and tell Prof Richards that there are many beautiful gals here, but very few cigars. Manny Vierra (a class or 2 before me) is in the Labor Division here, so Bryant is still carrying on famously. John Daugherty from Fall River is with [the] 15th Army Group in the Intelligence Section. If I locate a few more Bryant grads, I’ll hold a reunion. What’s new around Bryant and Providence?
During my tour of duty in Africa, I had the good fortune of being able to visit every city of consequence, and when next I see you, you can ne assured of many lengthy tales. Give my regards to your dad, Mr. Allen, Ripley, Profs. Richards, Vinal, Gulski, Naylor, Applebee and the rest.
