Ms. Hempel was a member of the Bryant College Class of 1941 and was awarded a Diploma from the Secretarial Program II. Records indicate that she later worked at the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company of Providence, RI. Ms. Hempel enlisted in the Women's Reserve, U. S. N. R.
