Abstract
Black and white photo of Bryant's original Archway, the South Hall portico, located at 1 Young Orchard Avenue, Providence, RI. Members of the Bryant community traditionally marched through this arch during commencement processionals and other celebratory events. Too big to move to Smithfield, this "archway" remained a part of this structure, now owned by Brown University. Instead, a wrought iron archway embedded in the main entrance to South Hall was extracted and moved to Bryant’s Smithfield campus. This wrought iron archway provided a connection to Bryant’s old campus and its rich traditions, and continues to be a cherished and beloved symbol for the Bryant community.
