ARMY AIR FORCES
July 4, 1943
To Whom it may concern:
I am sorry I haven’t written before, but the Air Corps. certianally [sic] keeps you busy. I left Providence March 28, 1943 for Keesler Field, Mississippi. I spent four weeks there, where I received my basic training. I was classified as a Pre-Aviation Cadet and sent here to Kansas City. I am attending Rockhurst College which is about the same size as Bryant. After I finish here I will be sent to a Cadet Classification Center. I certianally [sic] miss Bryant and I am definitely planning to return when the war is over and finish the course I started. I will write again when I have more time.
