Gentlemen ;
I have your card of October 9th. Referring to a package sent to, Harlan, while he was in Stockton, California.
He left Stockton, July 16th. for Fort Monmouth, New Jersey where he has been stationed for the last three months so it is evident that he did not receive the package you mention.
On October 16th. he will be commissioned a Second Lieutenant and as soon as I learn of a permanent address I will notify you for your records.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your thoughtfulness, it is deeply appreciated by both his mother and me.
