Amphibious Training Base
Little Creek, Va.
June 17, 1943
Hello Folks,
I just came back from a nice leave which ended all to [sic] soon and found your very nice gift of food which you sent to me.
I am still stationed here at Little Creek, Va. in the I.B.M. Department of the Amphibious Command.
My Bryant Training sure was a great thing, for you see I am working with Reports of all types which are sent to Washington every month.
My visit to Bryant while I was home was a pleasant one, it sure brought back memories. But this war sure has made many changes even there at school.
We are having some of the hotest [sic] weather down here I think that I have every [sic] seen. You just can’t keep anything dry.
Please keep up the good work and Thank you very much.
As Ever
George T. Matros
