Bryant Service Club:
It certainly was a nice surprise to receive a package from that well-known candy store, Gibson’s. Little do you realize how much we appreciate eating something besides a nickel candy bar or what is now three-pence.
It was just about six months ago, while on pass in Providence, that I rode out to the City Line with “Prof” Shore and his wife. We discussed the war then and I would also like to be back in Providence to discuss it again.
All kidding aside, it is a wonderful experience and it makes us realize the importance of a good sound government.
At present I am working in an office and hope to continue in it. The work is rather routine but I guess everything in the Army is pretty much that way.
Will close and hope to be back in Providence before too many months.
Sincerely,
Bill McCaughey
