ARMORED FORCE TRAINING CENTER
FORT KNOX, KENTUCKY
June 21, 1943
Dear Service Club Members,
I received your most welcomed package, and I want to thank everyone who was responsible for such a nice gift. It was a glorious feeling to know that the package came from the Bryant Service Club.
I am in the Armored Force, and I like it very much, but I miss Bryant College even more. I someday hope to return to Bryant and complete my education. I sincerely hope that the Bryant Service Club continues to be a success, so that it may keep up the good work.
We boys of the Bryant E. R. C. are now members of a large team. We have a job to do, and we must do it well. Our only regret is that we could not finish our education, but this war will never stop us from returning to good old Bryant.
Life here at Fort Knox is very exciting, and it is typical of the Armored Force. I have had training in tanks and Scout Cars, and it’s a wonderful experience.
I am a Battle replacement, so I won’t be here in the U. S. A. very long, but no matter where I go I will always remember Bryant College, and the Bryant Service Club.
Sincerely,
Pvt. Anthony A. Merolo
Class of ‘43
