LT. ROBERT E. MITCHELL
1ST PHOTO RECON. SQDN. B-29
SMOKY HILL ARMY AIR FIELD
SALINA, KANSAS
8, DECEMBER 1944
ARMED * AIR * FORCES * OF * THE * UNITED * STATES
To the members of the Bryant Service Club and the students of Bryant:
As a member of the Air Forces away from home during the Yuletide Season I would like to extend my hearty appreciation for the very thoughtful remembrance I received in the mail.
Just for the records I am no longer an Aviation Cadet as the address stated. I have finished one tour of duty as 1st pilot on a B-17 now my squadron is back in the states training in B-29’s. I expect to make another trip over the “Pond” shortly after the 1st of the year as 1st pilot on a B-29.
I know a lot of my old schoolmates from Bryant are in the service, I would appreciate it if the B.S.C. would send me a list of their addresses.
My best to all
Bob Mitchell
