Description
From a letter to Mr. Joseph Hagan from Mr. Kenneth Cedergran dated February 1, 1971: "The Class of 1971 is to be asked to continue a pledge program [started by the Class of 1970]" to support the remodeling of the Captain Joseph Mowry House for the purpose of creating an Alumni Center located on the newly constructed Smithfield campus. The class gift was to be announced on June 11, 1971 on Class Day. The actual decision of the Class of 1971 was not posted in the Archway Commencement edition.
