Members of the Bryant Service Club,

It sure was a swell feeling to receive your gift of cigarettes! Thank you ever so much. You had me puzzled as how you knew my address until I wrote home about your thoughtfulness and was told that you had mailed out questionnaires. Was it similar to my good ole Draft Questionnaire?

I’d appreciate a few addresses of my classmates, class August 1937, in the Services of Uncle Sam.

Regards to my college Guardian, George Richards.

Thanking you again,
I remain,

George Shenkman [Transcription ends]
