UNITED STATES AIR FORCE
June 13, 1943.
Bryant Service Club,
I received your gift the other day + it was most welcome. I imagine that the old service club is running with a shortage of male members, but from what I saw while at Bryant I guess the girls can handle the situation. The cigarettes came in mighty handy because my financial situation is not always what it should be.
I suppose if Mr. Naylor sees this letter he will contemplate taking back those credits I labored so hard to make in his English classes.
The Air Force is swell, but I miss the old Bryant gang. I hope to fly over there in about 8 or 9 months – if I’m lucky. Well, long may the Bryant Service Club serve + thanks again.
Sincerely
Pvt. Harrie Taft Jr.
