Dear Folks,
I had such a nice week-end – Cook and I went to Macon Sat evening and had a room at the Georgian and slept and slept . We did go to church but that was the extent of our enterprise. I had this morning off so changed to a single room for last night and my didn’t I sleep swell last night. Best night’s sleep I’ve had for a long time. The bed was just right and I woke up feeling so rested. This is the first time I’ve been away since furlough and I really needed to.
Major Tuttle got his orders and left Sat. for Ft Devens, Mass. Maj Reniker is now our boss. He’s nice. I guess there will not be much change by him. Grande just got back from a week-end at St Simon’s Island off Brunswick Ga. Sounds good. I’m going to try to go there on my three-day pass. If I ever get one.
This is a short short letter but I just can’t think of anymore to write.
Kay
