The Georgian Hotel letterhead 13 Oct 45
Dear Folks,
I have a room here again this week-end – with Iris Cook instead of Marjorie as Marjorie had to work.
I had swell luck at mail call today – your nice letter, a letter from Aunt Ruth saying tha[t] John is Dr Rideout now – and a letter from one of the girls in Manila which was lengthy and extremely interesting.
Mother, I have paid the car insurance I asked Mr. Somers if the stopping of gas rationing would change the amount of my insurance – He says not on the present policies but future policies will be higher. I had a letter from Dot Somers the day before I got his – She wrote it at their camp at Moosehead. They were up getting it ready for winter.
I’m glad it cleared off so you could get things finished up comfortably. Your whole trip sounded as if you had a very nice time.
Your new dress sounds very nice and size 14!! I’m trying desperately to lose enough so I can get into an 18 or at least a 38 but don’t know whether I’ll succeed or not. I gained back nearly all I’d lost!!!
Sun PM.
I’ve slept the whole week-end but I’m still sleepy. I’ll finish this up so it will go out tonight.
Love
Kay
