Dear Folks,

Not much news since Sat. Went to Macon Sat. evening with one of the girls then back to the Service Club for ice cream & iced tea. (By the way, iced tea is the hot weather drink in the mess hall much to my enjoyment). Yesterday I was on KP. It was very hot but not too hard. In the evening Marjorie & I went to see “Two girls & a Sailor” – fairly good musical. Gracie Allen’s piano concert almost worth the price of admission.

Tonight I plan to wash & iron. Tuesday is a ball game again; Wed. wash & iron; Thurs. (payday) in town to buy my ticket; Fri –have my hair done – wash & pack. Sat AM iron & finish packing; leave Macon at noon. I’m afraid it’s going to be a long week! I’m really getting excited. I’ve got my fingers crossed for fear something will happen between now & Sat!

By the way, how much gas will we have if I get 5 gals on my furlough papers? Any chance of it’s (sic) being enough to take the car to camp & back?

Love

Kay
