Dear Friends of the Bryant Service Club,

Received your fine gift yesterday. Although it had been sent via Virginia and detoured through Jefferson Barracks, I received in time for Xmas in good shape. I wish to thank you very much for your thoughtfullness [sic].

While in J. B. I had the pleasure of living in the same barracks with one of our Bryant Alumni, Robert Bernstein. It was a very happy reunion.

I hope that you all have had an enjoyable holliday [sic] and that the new year brings you much success.
